PPE Face Shield completed with "Off The Shelf" parts - Covid-19 PPE shortage REV1.5 (US letter and EU A4 sizes) by Houghton-dot-design

EU version now available. Fits A4 sheets.
Follows ISO 838 for hole punch grip details.
Should work with 2 and 4 hole punches, but I don't have a EU hole punch here, so will need this to be verified by someone printing in the EU. Post a comment and let me know.

UPDATE March 28th 3am CST
I've done a minor update to the clear shield holder parts (Rev1.5)
Rev1.5 parts WILL fit the original headbands (Rev1)
FYI: Headband file names have been changed but the data is the same as before.
I'll be uploading a EU version, to work with A4 film/acetate sheets, as soon as my test prints are finished.

I'm part of a group of Designers, Engineers, Rapid Production Specialists, Doctors and Nurses in the Chicago area that have been meeting daily over the last week to review and come up with solutions to the current PPE shortage which is already causing problems for our Health Care system.
This face shield is one of a few products we are working on to solve the PPE problem. This version (REV-1) is currently being tested by a small group of people in the field. This feedback driving design improvements for Rev 2 currently being worked on, which is to simplify the design, speed up printing, remove plastic and weight and improve usability and cleaning.
Would love to hear feedback from the maker community as well as we strive to help in this crisis. Stay safe everyone.
DESIGNED:
To use readily available "Off The Shelf" parts to complete the product.
Standard 8.5 x 11" Clear film transparency/Acetate/PETG sheet. 0.004" - 0.016" thick (recommended towards the thicker side, especially if worn outside) We are also working on an A4 size for the EU. Film corners can be cut with scissors if needed if they get in the way.

Elastic - 0.5"-1" Knit or Braided elastic from any fabric / hobby store.

For Simple assembly - No tools required.
To work with/around other PPE equipment, masks, eye glasses, under or over suit hoods and to provide side protection.
For all day comfort (3 sizes to choose from) Padding can also be added to the inside of the band for additional cushioning.
To be robust and flexible.
Clear shields are disposable, frame and band can be cleaned with disinfectants and alcohol. DO NOT USE HEAT TO CLEAN - NO STEAM OR BOILING WATER. PLA will deform.
I'll be uploading the native 3D files and IGS STP asap and open it up to design improvements and changes as people see fit. More detailed instructions will be posted shortly.
