The typical CNC steel milling machines design requires heavy castings to reduce vibrations. To reduce weight, I have used a different design concept:
- The spindle is located at the center of the 3 axes therefore momentum of force is minimized (eliminated) when compared to gantry style design
- The axes are shaped in a closed square to reduce deformations
- I have optimized the design using the accuracy of aluminium extrusions, the strength of steel components and the vibration isolation properties of composite materials
- I have used 2 motors for each axis (6 in total) to increase precision, power and to eliminate the risk of misalignment.

Due to flexible design, the machine can have customized dimensions like bed size and work envelope.
There can be multiple Z axis that can be easilly exchanged (18 bolts) in order to accomodate any manufacturing process like: milling, laser cutting, etching, wood routing, carving, etc. Selection of the process is done using a simple switch located on the electrical panel.
The machine can be set-up with any motion card any, motion software and any operating software (Linux or Windows).
