Polaris 280 Wheel Nut holder
Update: 1/31/2021: Add a screw nuts holder for the small wheel
One of my polaris 280 wheel falls off. After search for the part at various pool supply online store, the part that I needed (see picture) is only sold as part of the 280 Internal Frame (https://www.poolzoom.com/frame-complete-exchange-only-k145-polaris-280-swimming-pool-cleaner-parts-accessories.html). It is called "Polaris K145" and cost $99. Instead paying $100, I model that part in blender and printed it. In addition to the printed part, you will need these items:
Two 5mm nuts (make sure it is stainless steel)
Two 5mm screws (make sure it is stainless steel)
After print, push in the two 5mm nuts. Then, use some acetone to tighten and blend in the nuts with the ABS part.
In order to install this, you need to do this:
Pop out the old nut
Pop in this new nut. You may need to clamp part of the printed part a bit smaller in order pop it in
Now, both wheel falls off. Create an socket for the other wheel too. See picture.
1/31/2021: It appears the nut holder for the small wheel also rusted. As such, design a replacement. See Polaris 280 Small wheel holder.stl and image attached. You will need an M5 hex nut as well as a longer M5 screw.
