Two things are presented here, both help stabilize the fabulous, DIY and modular, UC2 microscope.

Two versions of a platform and carrier to fix the base plates to. Depicted is V1, V2 is both improved and simplified, but I haven't build it yet. I use hex nuts M5 DIN 934 in the platform and hex socket head cap screws 5x8 mm DIN 912 to fix the base plates to the platform.

The magnet placement addon caps a phillips screwdriver. With it you can pick up the 5mm diameter spherical magnets you need to connect the modules. The magnetic field will be automatically oriented perpendicular to the printed UC2 baseplates and connectors.
You will find the UC2 microscope here: https://github.com/bionanoimaging/UC2-GIT
Thingiverse requires you to select a printer from a list, but mine was not listed. The magnet placement addon was printed on a prusa mini.
