My design is piggy desk organizer, which the design will be using to storage the tools that people will be using daily such as paper, small notebook, pen, highlighter, post-it, mini-staple, paper clip, scissor, flash drive, phone, and phone charger cable. This piggy desk organizer will help students learning in virtual easier by having better access to all the tools for student needs. However, the issues that I am facing up against is the curve area of the piggy face and the base of the piggy area. This curve area might be hard for the 3D printing machine to make it and the tolerances of the curve result will be increase. The curve area will not get the exactly accurate shape on piggy face desk organizer. Also, my piggy desk organizer design have four legs at the base. These four leg bases will be the support of the whole piggy design components. In this piggy design, it is needing more leg base support. If I could redesign this again, I would add more support leg at the base and remover unnecessary curve areas. The 3D prints is helping strength my piggy desk organizer design by showing the areas that need to be improve and see the actual design model. This 3D printing model will help showing the error and failure of the design itself. This is also helping determine the parts area that need to redesign again before actual manufacturing. 3D printing will help saving a lot money and design time consuming.
