This is a revised version of the previous design and replaces previous designs. This add-on cooling fan scoop was designed primarily for use with the Pico hot end.
The OpenScad file is included so that you can customize to your own configuration.
This version mounts to your x-carriage and not directly to the hot end to keep the moving weight off of the hot end.
The SCAD file creates two different sizes of scoop; a half-height size and a full-height size.
The half-height was designed to work with my Hadron OrdBot 50mm extruder fan mount https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:589510, and the full height version is generic enough for anyone to modify and use.
No support is required as support material has been included in the STL model. Break off the supports after the print is completed.
This was successfully printed in PLA on my Hadron OrdBot. No ABS required because the fan scoop does not touch the hot end directly. A laser temperature tester was used to confirm that the Pico hot end is being cooled properly according to the instructions on their web site.
