This is a light-box containing 5 pcs. 3d-printed photos created with image to STL software.
To prevent overheating due to lack of ventilation you have to use LED light source ONLY . I suppose that 3W LED is quite enough for photos of maximum thickness 4 mm printed with light colored plastics.
Model includes a G9 lamp socket of original design which is to be used with low power (less then 3W total) LED bulbs. It works good with 220V lamps providing good electrical safety if assembled correctly. I recommend you to use wires of 1 mm thickness to assure it is fixed tight in socket. Line and Neutral are of no matter if you use 220V LED bulb, but you have to check polarity if using a 12V lamp with DC power supply.
To assemble main frame you have to print:
1 x Base
4 x Edge
1 x Top
1 x Top support
1 x G9 socket (you can replace it with your own, but you'll have to think about mounting it on base part).
Also you will need some simple hardware:
11 pcs. M3x10 mm bolts
10 pcs. M3 nuts
G9 LED lightbulb
Some wiring and plastic zipties to fix it onto base part.
To prepare photo I've used an Image to STL converter software. Total thickness of STL has to be no more than 4 mm and size 93x93 mm. You have to combine converted STL with Frame in your slicer to print a 100x100 mm photo which fits this light-box.
Other way is to convert photo to 100x100 mm STL if you are sure that image has dark borders which will have enough thickness to hold it in place.
