Based on design from Byctrldesign.
Changes:
It's a bit wider, changed from 25mm to 30mm.
Added some buttocks, for use with 10mm silicone anti-slip self-adhesive pads.
I also added a heart in the chest of the guy :-)
(I know it shouldn't be centered, but this isn't really ment to be anatomically correct.)
It's available in four versions:
One lying on it's side, this should be the easiest to print.
One sitting up, with built-in support for the lower tip of the heart. The support has a wide foot, to help ensure it doesn't break of the build plate, for people who prints without rafts.
One with smoothed edges, lying on it's side.
One with smoothed edges, sitting up, with built-in support for the lower tip of the heart.
All four are designed to print without supports, but they all require your printer to be good at bridging because of the heart.
I added the versions with smoothed edges alittle later than the hard-edged ones, and since I didn't have the original source 3D files, I ended up smoothing the edges in MeshMixer, upping the polygon count ALOT. I simplified alot of the surfaces, but it still ended up at about 10 mb. But without the original source, it can't be helped :-/
Since I was in MeshMixer, I desided to let it generate the heart supports for the sitting version, and I think the more simple supports will be quite good - it should be easy to snap off after printing, leaving only minimum marks on the finished print.
If you wish to modify the hard-edged versions, they're available on Tinkercad here:Smartphone holder guy with heart and buttocks
Note:
The photos are from me printing the smoothed version sitting up, on my Zortrax M200 with 0.14 mm layers and no supports.
Turns out it's a bit small for my Sony Xperia Z5 Premium with a case on, so next time I will most likely print it at 130-150 % size, and go up to 0.19 mm layers for improved overhangs under the arms.
Still, I'm quite satisfied with the result :-)
