Rotator Embosser business card machine.
The files are in the project folder, unzip to a directory, run the embosser .scad file, rewrite the lines to customise your text.
You can change the positions from line 10 by adding a translate line:
translate([25,0,0])
positiveside();
Export everything to different STL files because it's not level, arrange gcode. That's it! Perhaps wrap PTFE around it if you have some teflon tape.
Also you need a very high detail printer to get the fonts ok. For Slic3r you have to uncheck detect thin walls and crossing perimieters, check the font details carefully in your slicer program. If you have a prusa mendel and can print at 0.15mm you can do the spiral version at 0.15 and the mesh resized to 28%.
Perhaps you can make the letters the same width on both side and less embossed to have a sharper result, if the 3D printer makes square letters round and can compensate for the letters being the same width.
There is an image to cylinder heightmap conversion code for scad on thingiverse some place for embossing logos and photos, if someone can find it, tell me what it is i will add it on as another version.
