UPDATE 6/21/18: I created a second version of the centers. Instead of using a pin, they use a screw. This makes the centers a lot more secure and less likely to fall apart. To make v2, don't print "center_x2.stl" and instead print "center1_v2_x1.stl", "center2_v2_x1.stl", and "center_cap_v2_x1.stl".
NOTE ON NOMENCLATURE: This puzzle isn't a pentomino in the mathematical sense. I chose the name because it is the pentagonal equivalent of the 3x3x2, or Rubik's Domino. Thus, it is a "pentagonal domino". The name is a portmanteau of the two words, hence "pentomino".
A fully functional 2-layer pentagonal twisty puzzle. It is the pentagonal equivalent of the 3x3x2. The 2x3 faces can turn 180 degrees, and the pentagonal faces can turn 72 degrees.
To make v1 (which doesn't use any screws, but is more likely to fall apart) print:
2 Center
10 Edge
10 Corner
1 Pin
To make v2 (which uses a screw but is more stable) print:
1 Center 1 v2
1 Center 2 v2
1 Center Cap v2
10 Edge
10 Corner
V1 of this puzzle uses a flexible pin mechanism rather than screws, so it is fully 3D printable and no extra materials are needed!
Stickers for the 2x3 faces are standard 57mm 3x3 stickers. The top and bottom stickers can be cut from the sticker template.
