Stage 1) Not finished but working!? I broke my last Potentiometer and my Arduino started to malfunction.. It was moving the axis while the Potentiometer was not even connected.
New parts orderd!
This will work via a bungee-cord system witch still has to be developed.
Not force feedback. Between 250 and 300 steering rotation. The design has a quick release system. Witch have a 70mm spread so real wheels can be added to the quick release system. You can download a Drift wheel inspired add on here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3905098
How to set up a Arduino and Potentio meters to work as axis by AMSTUDIOhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKIrbF6GnZ0 (The other axis can be used for Handbrake, Clutch, Break and Gass)
Stage 2) There are force feedback 900 steering rotation idea's out there, but I would be in need of some donations to make that version so I can buy step sensor, 12v dc motor, 10 and 5 inch pulley, rods, bearings, motor controller, PSU and design the proper brackets for them.
Stage 3) Develop a Gass, Brake and Clutch pedal.
Stage 4) Develop Handbrake.
The idea is that this system can be upgrade from Potentiometer to force feedback in the long run this way the system is completely modular and can be started on a low budget.
Works via Potentiometer to Arduino LEAONARDO to USB PC. (Maybe somebody can write a code for Arduino UNO!?)
Connect the wheel with a shaft 13mm width.
Feel free to contact me for tips, tricks and idea's. Please leave a comment.
NOT FOR REAL CARS ! (Obviously but you have been Warned.)
Build video needs to be made, when finished!
