Here we have a printable parabolic microphone case type device for a Jabra Bluetooth headset that I picked up a while ago.
You will need to destroy the case for this project. Photos are included and details listed of how to obtain the correct shape we're looking for.
The mic will swivel in place for correct focal adjustment. It's all just about mathematically correct, within about a few hundredths of a mm in the file. It works quite well at its purpose as a directional amp. The theory was there so I made this. Should have some audio samples up soon.
UPDATE: While this project was an... idea, the practice was something I couldn't quite bodge with what little time I had. An uninterrupted time later, I've realized that you can't route the audio from the mic to the headset with their implementation of some dinky little QFP and Bluetooth protocols. So... it's got to be some software to interact with the Bluetooth directly and either reroute the signals from mic to phone back to headset, which is convoluted to say the least, or you have to record the audio you're hoping to catch directly and forgo live feedback. 11/22/17
At this point, I don't have a method for live audio, I'm sorry. If anyone has any ideas to eliminate the lag that would be present doing it the dumb way, let me know.
If you don't need quality audio recordings from a distance, or any feedback whatsoever, this device is for you!
