Coming upon this organisor (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3366555) by Bob_Daddy, I enthusiastically printed both parts, only to find that there were several issues with that model (top model in the side by side pictures is his, bottom model is my design). First of all, they were too long to fit in the cardboard openings in the original box. I remedied that by starting with a several milimetres shorter base. Then there was the height of both parts: the original box lid would no longer close all the way. Since the pawns in his organisor were setup vertically, that dictated the required height. Instead, I laid the pawns flat in my organisor.
The "sea level" indicator was difficult to extract with big fingers (I'm quite tall and have massive hands and fingers, that don't fit in the space that holds the indicator), the "reminder" token was also not easy to extract for me, so I created new positions for both.
Finally, I found the space for the two stacks of cards too low, but the cards holder part too high. So I created space for a third stack of cards, besides the two stacks needed for the player cards and the dike failure cards. There was clearly plenty of room left for that third stack. I put the role cards, event cards, setup reminder card, turn order cards, goals and everything else card wise in that stack.
Last but not least, I created icons in each compartment, to indicate where the water and population cubes, dikes, pumping stations and harbours are supposed to be stored.
With this organisor the game box lid fits again in the original position and the cards and game parts stay in their own containers.
