paldalmun gate (팔달문) 37°16′39″n 127°01′01″e paldalmun gate sits in the middle of a roundabout on a busy main road in central suwon, gyeonggi-do, korea. paldalmun is the south gate of hwaseong fortress. “paldal (八達)” literally means “to lead in all directions.” the name comes from paldalsan mountain to the west of the fortress. its stone base is capped with a two-storey wooden pavilion surrounded by a stone wall. a small, semi-circular protective wall known as an ongseong, is located on the south side (outside) of the gate. one of the four gates of hwaseong fortress, paldalmun was constructed in 1794. it consists of a stone arch, two-story wooden pavilion, and a semi-circular brick wall which helps defend the gate. the names of those involved in the construction are inscribed on the stone wall of the gate. • recommendation scale for 3-d printing is minimum 0.15 times (-> size of output will be about 7.5cm). • for 3-d printing, you can print the files using 2- ways. -. paldalmun assy.stl or -. 1. fortress.stl + 2. headquarter bldg.stl + 3. guard post.stl
