Used oven converted into drying filament dispenser.
Loaded with ceramic tile for safety and thermal insulation.
Consumes ~ 7W power in steady state at 50°C inside and 25°C outside.
Temperature range for continuous 24/7 operation:
PLA: 50°C - safe; 55°C - starts to stick; 60°C - spool fuses in 1 day
Nylon: 50°C - safe; 95°C - safe, dries 4x faster, consumes 3x more power;
therefore use same temperature of 50°C for all filament types, maintenance-free
Example usage with nylon which was initially stored at 25°C and 40% humidity:
criterion: from visible bubbles in the print to no steam bubbles in the print
3-4 outer-most layers become dry in 4-5 hours at 50°C, need to wait
inner layers dry continuously during print, no need to wait
1kg spool full drying time is about 10 days at 50°C
