My Outrigger has the ability to go over rough waters and is built to withstand large amounts of force. The Mahogany wood used to construct this boat was used as it is a very stable wood due to its lack of soft grain and the straight grain patterns it has. The boats pointed bow gives the boat the ability to cut through waves in rough waters. You might be wondering why I made the two amas lower than my canoe? Through my conducted research I learned that the lower the two amas are, the stability of the boat increases, as they take the impact of the waves instead of the canoe. The pipes on the canoe have the ability to telescope and be removed depending on the weather conditions and the natural environment you face. 90% of the boat was built by myself and the remaining 10% was with the help and guidance of Mr. Anderson. My inspiration to build this outrigger came from Mr. Anderson, truly without him, you would have received a simple canoe. This Boat is not like any other ordinary boat, it is built with the highest end of material and was thoroughly designed to give the rider the experience of his life. It can't get more Canadian than this!
