I built this from four pieces of 96' 2x4 lumber. The floor area it uses is only 2'x2'. Mounting angle is 12° which is the angle of most boat sterns. The CG ends up really close to the front when the motor is fully tilted (not so good). A piece of hardwood is attched to the top-front so the motor's stern brackets don't chew up the softer pine. The base frame is designed such that a container of water can be positioned under the motor for off-boat operation.
