The Oracle Arena was originally built as the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena in 1966, seating 15,025 for basketball and 13,061 for ice hockey. It has hosted the Golden State Warriors from 1966-1967 and then from 1971-1996. The arena was renovated from 1996-97, forcing the Warriors to play in the San Jose Arena for the season. They returned into the newly renovated arena in 1997, which seats 19,596 for basketball and 17,000 for ice hockey. It also hosted the California Golden Seals of the NHL from 1967-1976, the Cal Bears of the NCAA basketball for large-capacity events from 1966-1997, then full-time from 1997-1999. It also hosted some lesser-known teams such as the RHI's Oakland Skates and MISL 1's Golden Bay Earthquakes for small amounts of time. *Note, original model by Google. I added the red Oracle logo on the roof. #Arena #California #Golden #NBA #State #Warriors
