I never had good luck with the openrc gear differentials. So I designed a ball differential. There are no tiny gears here. It's designed to fit in a slightly modified truggy differential housing. Oh, and you might need slightly different lengths for your central drive shafts because I had to move the central drive shaft over a few millimeters. I haven't finished building the car yet so I can't yet say what length. I posted the inventor files, as it seems to work well testing in a drill press, but I have no idea how it will do in actual use until I build the rest of the car.
In addition to the normal truggy parts, it also uses the following:
8mm x 24mm x 2mm fender washers x2
4mm x 9mm x 4mm ball bearing x1
4mm x 9mm x 4mm THRUST bearing x1
M4x20mm countersink screw and nut x1
some standard size BB gun BBs, get some high quality steel ones, cheap copper coated ones are often all pitted and won't work.
