This is a centre section wing extender for the Omega / Highlight 1.8e glider. This glider is sadly no longer available. The 1.8 metre wing span was fine but if you wanted to extend it to make it an even better floater you could buy a centre section to extend the wing span by around 40cm. They were only available for a short time and many of us didn't get the chance to buy one :(
The airfoil is SD 7035 (I think), matches the existing wing perfectly except for 1mm too long in the trailing edge which is no problem.
Chord is 187mm
The panel is 10cm wide, you can scale the Z axis if you want to print it bigger, I will probably print out 3 and join them.
The spar hole is 8mm for a carbon tube with an inside diameter of 6mm. This is the size of the original wing spar.
This is a solid object, must be printed with around 10% infill. Increase top and bottom layers as necessary.
I have included an extra STL that has some support for the trailing edge of the wing as it tends to lift up a bit off the bed as the print gets higher. NB. I have not tried this STL to see if it works.
EDIT: I added an updated centre section with 4mm bolt holes and servo cable exit hole. Its 60mm, the 2 outer sections are 120mm so its a 300mm extension. You can add as many outer sections as you like.
I also added a 3mm hole towards the trailing edge for alignment purposes.
