I designed the farm tractor on a scale of 1: 6, as a driver every 1: 6 action figure can be used and I chose the Oliver Cletrac HG 42 tractor as a prototype.
Some parts are glued together, others are positioned with magnets, the backbone of the construction is the two square tubes.
Here is a video of the first indoor test drive:https://youtu.be/zu37hACGBpY
Parts required for completion:
2 CHIHAI MOTOR 12V DC Gear Box Motor - 50 to 80 RPM ( RB Motoren )
2 speed controller and a Transmitter with mixing functions, or a special chain controller
2 10mm square tube's 220mm long
12 round Magnets: 10mm x 2mm
62 chain bolts diameter 3mm metal or carbon 20mm long
2 nuts M5 for the drive wheel
2 grub screws M5 25mm for the drive wheel
2 self-locking nuts M6 for the lead wheel
2 screws M6 40mm for the lead wheel
4 ball bearing 6x13x5mm for the lead wheel
6 nuts M4 for the chain guid
6 screws M4 x 16mm for the chain guid
Here the drive components that I used:
I drive with a 12 volt setup, battery = 3s 1500mAh
12 volt Motors with 80 RPM:https://www.banggood.com/12V-DC-Metal-Gear-Reducer-Motor-High-Torque-DC-Gear-Box-Motor-p-925500.html?rmmds=myorder&ID=512747&cur_warehouse=CN
Speed controller: It is important that the brake can be switched off!https://www.banggood.com/Waterproof-Brushed-ESC-160A-3S-with-5V-1A-BEC-XT60-Plug-For-112-RC-Car-p-1030025.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN
I do not use a mixer for tracked vehicles, I mix the two motors in my transmitter.
