This is a model of the Old Chicago Post Office located in Chicago, Illinois. When built in 1921 with a major addition built in 1932, this was the largest post office in the world with 2 and a half million feet of floor space. It is one of Chicago's widest high-rise buildings, measuring about 798 x 354 feet on the ground. The Eisenhower Expressway passes right through an opening in the building, and trains run beneath the building to connect to Union Station, which lies a few blocks to the north. The building ceased postal operations in 1996. It was designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst, and White. Its address is approximately 433 W.
