I wanted a bike front fork mount that didn't require permanent mounting to my truck, and could be stored in the truck ready to go under my tonneau cover when not in use.
I designed this to clamp to a cargo stabilizer bar that could be positioned behind the cab below my tonneau cover rails. I designed it for a 1.5" outside diameter cargo stabilizer bar like the Heininger 4015 or 4016. I used a standard 100mm skewer.
For mounting it should be snug on the stabilizer bar, and I used 3 wide (up to 10mm) UV stable zip ties like the TR Industrial UV zip ties.
For print settings, you definitely need to use PETG for it's UV stability. I printed it with 4 walls, and 30% gyroid infill. I printed with the open portion on the build plate, and supports on the build surface only as well as a brim. The brim may not be necessary depending on your build surface.
All things considered, I got a cheaper mount than some of the nicer ones I was considering (Thule), and it doesn't require any drilling, is extremely sturdy, and I can cover up my bed without removing it.
The bike in the picture is a relatively heavy e-bike (Rad Mission), and it's extremely sturdy.
