NIMROD - TIE ROD END CREATOR
This thing must be customized to your specific need. You can do this in the Thingiverse customizer or by downloading the SCAD file and using OpenSCAD (free) to customize it. If you use the Thingiverse customizer I have found it doesn't work in Chrome, I use Internet Explorer instead.
This is a custom tie rod end creator. I created it specifically to make parts for my RC car, but figured I'd make it customizable for everyone's future use.
Use calipers to size your rod and screw. You can size the screw side to slip over or thread in. You can also set the amount of engagement on the rod. The tolerance is for you to specify the gap between the ball and the cup so that your printer can successfully print the tightest joint that still moves.
You will probably have a little trial and error to get the print right. You should print laid on it's side with supports.
On my fairly highly modified Ender 3 Pro I am able to get a .15 tolerance by quickly removing the part and breaking the ball loose while its warm.
