Newportman use the new GPWS02 machines as the base for their 2011 challenger, the NM-M102. The team change the car a lot, with a lot of aerodynamic appendages added to the car, although the car seen is only development spec, so does not have the full livery and is not the full car, hence why this version has been released early. The team continues with the Mercedes engine and Bridgestone tyres. The team decide to run 3 drivers throughout the year, with Matthew Wood racing full time for the squad and Jens Kohl and Juan Villa rotating every couple of races in the second seat, although Juan Villa would complete the most races. Nico Lehms is kept on as Test/Reserve driver aswell for a second campaign in GP2000, joining Lehms as both test driver and at Newport Nitro GP2000 would be James Harvey, being groomed for a GPWS seat in 2012.
