The New Jerusalem's dimensions are reported to be 12,000 stadia, or equivalent of 1,400 miles or 2,200 kilometres, in length, width and height. That gives a footprint of 1,960,000 sq miles or 4,840,000 kilometres square. That's about a fifth of the African continent or half the US. Most people depict this enormous size as a large golden cube. I can understand that in the higher dimensions or spiritual realm where the NJ may appear, a large golden cube may be possible as place of residence. But I also got to wondering what if the NJ was rather planned more closely to something that we humans are used to? ie cities with houses, with doors and windows that allow light. Though allowing for certain other new considerations ie there could be towers 2,200 kilometres high. In a city where residents can fly, perhaps that's plausible? There's still quite a bit of engineering and other pragmatic issues to consider. This is just an exercise.
