Meet Nester, the nesting jar/container. Great for storing your medicine, change, herbals, supplements, whatever you can put in the individual container sections. It's the first size, but the second version. I'm already working on some improvements for the new version that's coming soon.
This guy prints great without supports, but make sure you print slightly slower and have good cooling (Or, at least this is for my Frankenstein of a printer). I made the thread tolerance pretty tight, so hopefully this will work on other printers. The inside of the lid is formed to the top of the inner container outline. This helps to ensure nothing will spill over from one compartment to the next should the jar drop.
I posted two lids for this. The Cap1 is the original lid, but for some reason doesn't print clean on the outside for me. I made another cap without any outside rim features, and it seemed to print better. It's probably just my printer. The Cap2 interior seal/form (The part that meets the interior container) comes a little farther down on the sides. Hopefully the future Cap3 will be a successful blend of both (Or just another new design).
You might need to clean up any extra plastic or elephant-foot issues as the interior containers are pretty tight in tolerance as well. Mine displace air when they are pushed in, but they do not get stuck. You might need to work them around a little bit to break things in.
I put a notch on the bottom of the jar so it matters not which order the inner containers are put back in. I'm working on different sizes and layouts for the containers, so stay tuned for more!
