I made a seven segment display for another project I was working on.
I thought someone might find the display useful. So I broke it out and made it in to a 1, 2, 3 and 4 digit display.
DON'T print with supports. There's some internal things that will get messed up if you do.
It's small overhangs internally. You shouldn't need supports anyway. Pint them How I have them orientated and it'll print .
It uses through hole 8mm WS2811 or 12's or whatever will fit in the hole.
I used these. Seem good so far. Out of the 90 I used I had 2 duds. Bright and work as well as can be.

I included some code snippets as an example how to use them.
It's C from the Arduino IDE. And for some reason Adafruit Neopixle lib doesn't support ESP's any more. The code is written to use the NeoPixel Bus lib. You can install it from the lib manager.
You can use it without the lens on the front. But I like it with one. More defined looking segments.
To make the lenses, print the front part then tape a piece of plain white paper to the back. Then put the cover on the LED holder. Yes it is that simple. lol.
Why yes, I did try 3d printing lenses. But the paper ones work WAY better.
The photos make it look a little washed out. It looks better in person.
