This print helps you make battery packs for Neato XV series robot vacuum with AA rechargeable batteries. No soldering required.
Each XV robot vacuum uses 2 battery packs so you'll need to print 2 copies for one machine.
In addition to the print, what you'll need are
12 rechargeable AA batteries (6 for each pack)
Wiring or solder tabs for connecting batteries within the pack, 5mm wide solder tabs sold on ebay are recommended.
Connectors & temperature sensors for connecting the robot vacuum
It's best to salvage connectors & sensors from old original battery packs.
A couple rubber bands to hold everything together
The original battery pack also has a couple fuses wired between battery cells, but my test shows that it's fine without them.
The packs I made with 2450mah IKEA LADDA batteries last my XV-21 easily over 1 hour of running time. For comparison, the original 3500mah battery packs last about 40 minutes when they were new.
