NC Miata console clip on phone mount bracket by 3davec

This is a clip on phone mount for an NC Miata (2006 - 2015), it uses a ball head from one of those cheap magnet phone mounts that supposedly sticks to your AC vent. In real practice... it always falls off the vent. I made this mount to use the magnet ball mount part, to allow me to clip it on my console so that it would not need any screws into the console. This version was printed in pla, however once summer time arrives again I am sure I will need to reprint it in petg or abs. I have uploaded 2 versions, one w/o my text logo...(I was playing with putting text on the print). To clip it on you have to stretch the edge of the console how a bit and it kind of snaps on. It has like a little foot that just reaches over to the coin tray to help hold it in place and it feels very secure. I printed it on its side with no supports on my BiBo touch. I thought about building a new ball mount into my bracket but then realized unless you found that exact brand of magnetic phone mount it would not be very useful. I also thought about embedding magnets into the mount and decided I like it being able to tilt up a little bit.
