I'm receiving my first 3D printer in about two weeks and decided to start experimenting with design, this is my first attempt at a 3D model in Tinkercad, some board game pieces / miniatures.
Line Infantry
Cavalry
General
Cannon (Two flavours)
Ship
Fort
Cannon Balls
I've tried to give them a more classic "wooden" look / feel. The soldiers are based (stylistically) off of Pocket Tactics' base set models by dutchmogul, and likewise are approximately the same scale. I've tried to use simple shapes for ease of printing, and so that the miniatures will still (with luck) look clean after an acetone treatment.
Pocket Tactics can be found here:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:41740
Horse model used was a resized "block horse" by cheddarz and can be found here:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13800
The fort is adapted from "Simple Castle Tower" by rudorhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28607
I plan to update this when I am actually able to print the miniatures, but because I have yet to start printing I can't offer any advice as to how to go about it. I suspect there will be some issues that will require being split in half to print horizontally.
(dice used for pose photo not included, items 147883 and 94738 respectively.)
