NOTE:
-=This is a work in progress and I have not finished the design nor have I printed it for final fitting. I'm simply sharing what I have so for to give others ides or allow others to customise from this point=-
January 27, 2017 - I've updated the files for a better fit and also took off the blocks on the back of the models since there was no real purpose for it. I also added the holes for the plug and power switch and changed the cable management from a spooling style to simply a compartment style since the spooling style just wasn't practical. I also made the base taller since the original is only as high as the charger and wont allow cables and the lid together.
I've attached a couple of pictures of the original model. I'm not using this yet as I have to correct for the cable position opening. I also had a problem with the models pulling up from my printer bed, but that's something I have to figure out and I don't believe it to be a model issue.
Also, it's suggested to use low profile USB cables since they fit better. I have a mixture of both that I'm using and some poke through the holes in the lid. I'll share more pics once ready.
January 6, 2017 - With the kids getting Tablets over the holidays, the dual wall charger I have has been over used and there are only so many plugs on the main floor that are accessible for device charging. Because of this I've been looking for multi-USB charger stands on line and have a few but there's always been something I didn't like about them. Due to this, I decided to check on Thingiverse for what others have come up with. I found http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1478760 and decided to make it my own.
I went on Amazon and purchased a 10 port charger https://www.amazon.ca/Charge-10-Port-Charging-Station-Galaxy/dp/B01FJT1C7Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483711234&sr=8-1&keywords=Quick+Charge+3.0+AUKEY+10-Port+USB+Charging+Station and made a custum base for it to hide the charger, manage the cables for the 10 plugs and top it with the tablet / phone base.
My charger should arrive on January 13th at which time I'm complete the design (add a location for the plug and on/off switch then repost the pre-final design while I print and do a test fit.
