Multi-directional Vehicle

This is a vehicle capable of travelling, not only forwards and back but also sideways and is not limited to turning while moving. it can turn on the spot or about any point along the center of the vehicle by changing how fast the steering wheel is turned. The lever on the left of the vehicle is used to alternate between forward movement and sideways movement.

The odd looking wheels used here are what enables its movement capabilities, they are called holonomic wheels. It is the gearbox that allows one wheel to be to be reversed while still pedaling forwards. This makes the rear of the vehicle move sideways while the front is manipulated by the front wheel with the steering wheel on the right of the vehicle.

All components used are either from Rs components or are designed by me to be easy to manufacture in a home workshop.

Other major components of this vehicle such as the gearbox have also been published and are visible in my library models.
