MSX/R ST3 GTS

For the first time, MSX/R has produced a GTS version of the ST3, with a twin turbo inline 6 and AWD. Intended as a rival to the likes of the Subaru WRX STi, Volkswagen Golf R and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, MSX/R has gone further, with two extra cylinders and an extra turbo, Both turbos are variable geometry for improved power delivery. the GTS aims to deliver a more European feel, more in line with the Audi RS3 and Mercedes Benz CLA45 AMG than it's price point rivals,with a greater emphasis on feeling and involvement than outright speed. The 2.8L TVT6R small block inline 6 is mounted transversely and produces 342hp (251kW, 347PS) and 317ft-lb (430Nm), with a six speed manual or DCG. MSX/R have also added 8 piston brakes, high performance suspension, front and rear LSDs and adaptive dampers. The variable AWD system has been recalibrated and now uses a 40/60 front to rear torque split as it's default setting. It's specifications include premium audio with iPod connection and six disc CD and DAB+ or HD radio, voice control, sat nav, performance data logger, bluetooth, climate control, leather seats, auto headlights cruise control, 7 airbags, alloy wheels and DSC. It will be made in Warsaw, Poland, and Smyrna, Tennessee, the engine is made in Melbourne. Prices start from US$39,400, AU$64,950, £31,850, 42,990, CN¥591,000. It costs about the same as a Lancer Evo X or BMW 325i in other countries.
