This is the all new X820 series XC8, released 34 years after the original. It's smaller than the X818 it replaces, in order to compete more directly with the Toyota Landcruiser 79 Series and Land Rover Defender. As with the original XC8/XT8, it's highly configurable, with 6 different body styles, 4 wheelbases, 5 engines, 2 front and 2 rear suspension setups, and 4 specification levels. This one is the XC8 Bushranger single cab chassis with the 4.0L turbo diesel inline 6 producing 183kW@4100rpm and 645Nm@2000rpm and live axle coil spring front and leaf spring rear suspension. This combination is expected to be the most popular and offers a 1500kg payload, 3500kg towing capacity, part time 4WD with diff locks and low range, a six speed manual, 2+1 seating with the passenger bench seat, cloth trim, off road traction control, 7 airbags, CD player, air conditioning, chrome detailing, alloy wheels, fog lights and all terrain tyres.
