I am a fond user of the Scottoiler eSystem, an automated system to lubricate your motorcycle's chain & sprockets.
However, mine was installed on the left handlebar, using the standard mounting bracket. This works good normally, but alas - not in combination with my tank bag! In tight turns, when moving the bike about, the display unit often hit into the bag... Not the best base for a long product life, I thought...
So I figured, I'd try to think of an alternative mounting assembly & here's my take. :-)
The platform (for the display) and the clamps for the handlebar were easily done - for the swivel, I needed a few iterations to find the one that (I think) will suit my bike best.
1) This design is intended for a Suzuki V-Strom: other bikes may have different handlebar diameters.
2) The handlebar clamp #2 is fitted with a thin neoprene rubber sheet, to increase friction on the handlebar.
3) Tolerances are targetted at my printer & settings - adjust as required.
4) I figured, the #3 swivel will suit my bike best: I included the other 2 versions in case someone might find these useful.
5) Parts are configured for metric bolts & nuts - adjust as required.
You'll find the STEP source files included, to allow any of the above mentioned changes, should these be required.
The printed parts are freshly painted, so I can't add an "as-mounted" picture just yet: will update later. ==> Added 22nd Aug. :-)
