This holds a tablet, the Samsung Tab Actice 2 (and probably the new version 3) in a locked and secure holder. The charging cable is routed out of the holder in a way that holds it securely and avoids the problem with the contact being shaken to pieces.
You need a lock which you mount in the arm, if you want to be able to lock it in place with a key. This one will fit:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33041835358.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dHGTfVi
You will also need a nut and bolt to secure the locking arm to the holder, and I recommend using velcro in the holder and on the tablet in the spaces where there´s room, to secure it even further. If you do and use the lock, it will be very securely fastened.
You may have to dig out a litte for the lock arm to fit, and even have to cut the locking arm shorter to allow it to swing into the slot.
The holder is flat with mounting holes for many different fastening options. My version is bolted to a backplate in a motorcycle rally fairing.
If the holder is too big for your printer, I suggest to either split it where the usb cable support starts at the right side, and glue the two parts together. It doesn't have to be super strong since all this section does is to support the cable. Or if it's still too big, split it in the middle and glue, screw it to a back plate.
I have printed this in PETG, and it has been in use for å full season on a (hobby rider´s) rally bike. It's proven to be very sturdy. There is a little flexible knob in the upper left corner. This flexes fine in PETG, but I have heard it snaps off in ABS, which is less flexible. It is not critical, especially if you use velcro, which I highly recommend as a vibration damper and as extra security. Proper quality velcro will keep it in place even without the lock handle.
This is my first test to upload a thingy, and if anyone sees it and downloads it, I am curious to get som feedback.
