This clip is made to work with a Garmin GPS mount with the suction cup or bean bag dashboard stand. Allows a Moto X PURE without case to be held to the windshield of your car (Garmin stand not included). Phone can be slid in from the side and is held securely. I found dosch's mount and printed it, only to discover that it didn't fit my Moto X PURE, which is wider by about 10mm, so I modified it and the new version firs perfectly. I recommend printing the mount on its side lengthwise, as the layers will provide more strength along the axis where the clip experiences the most stress. I printed my prototype in eSun PETG to withstand the heat of my car in the summer months.
This may fit other phones and other devices, but I have no means to test this. The distance between the jaws is approximately 76mm.
Update 3/16/17: I added a small notch in the top jaw to keep it from pressing against the power and volume buttons.
