A version of the hand that is not only more printer friendly than before, it also requires no screws! While the original thing was a great idea, there were two problems with it.
1: If you bought the single piece print (SPP) file like he wanted you to, the tolerances are so low that the joints probably won't free up, I know because I printed this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:911554, and now it looks like this .
2: The multi piece print (MPP) files weren't designed for 3D Printing either, there was barely anything on the bed, some that printed tall would fall over in the middle of the print.
Since I knew how to fix the problem with the MPP files, I did. There is now a lot more of a first layer for the printer to lay a foundation on, and there should be no loss in performance, look, or really anything. There are also slight modifications, for example, the "Back Right" and "Back Left" have the pins built into them. The only issue is the shield, the only way to fix that was to lob a lot of the back off, seen in "Shield 2." I wouldn't recommend using this file because the shield will not be a strong, but if you have adhesion problems with small first layers, you don't really have a choice.
