Wanted to use my monopod as a tripod when on long hiking trips rather than bring both as I use this as part of my tent. This uses a monopod that breaks down into three separate legs.
First I used a lighter on the flat extension areas and bent them to allow for a even placement, as each monopod section is a different length. Using a ball head I can further tune the "leveling".
I placed some Sugru(TM) in the leg holes and then wrapped the top of the "shafts" with plastic wrap to customize the fit.
Make sure you scale to 128% or 130% as conversion from Sketchup was not 100% accurate.
