This is a set (growing numbers) of reusable parts for making of cases for many purposes.
One of many possible applications you can make from here: a small gift box:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:516943http://www.thingiverse.com/make:100250
You have something to gift so big it can't go through the door?
Tease it with a miniature hidden in a very personal giftbox you made from here.
.
other application:
make a case the home for your Arduino dev board , stack the shields on it as well
casing for diy electronics projects (pcb size max 70mm x 106mm (with the open frame)
pcb exposer (pcb of size 60mm x 100mm x 1.75mm)
picture frames
storage boxes
door sign
name plate
. ….
It uses the parts stacked together. Stack as many as you like.
You want to stack more boxes, frames and plates together ? Have not found screws longer than 30 or 40mm?
Don't fear! Stack the stacks using the coupler frame or box in the middle between two packs .
.
The latest made parts demonstrate why the walls and frames bars should not go as thin as possible - future plans ;-)
.I'm not going to make everything "Thinner an lighter".
F bloody shitty parole, stupid thinking and making products worst than ever.
.
Regardles of f many outages a day on Tinkercad.
I have been very busy designing new parts (offline as well).
.
Easy access to 3D primitives but so many disadvantages over a solid CAD programm. The makers should improve the crap a lot. At least they should enable local caching on harddisk AND storing of edits by users request, better store the whole project on harddisk for offline work, for later edits and transfer to the server or restore if the server fails.
But no, they don't.
Makerbot guy's !! MAKE the crap better.
The Question:
You know this problem? A new thing needs its own new case you don't have by the hand.
.
Why should one buy a new specialized case for each and every different board?
Exchange the board - print another case?
WTH. Too much waste of time, effort and material.
The answer:
Reuse parts that can be shared many times.
Print newly the needed specialized portions only (mostly used with openings for connectors) and add an adapted top lid if any new is needed.
This thing dissects the existing enclosures (boxes) into their primitives. Those are basically cylinders, plates, frames (w./w.o. top/bottom planes).
This are the parts of this modularized system are intended for.
.
Make your gadget with the parts taken from here or take the projectbox (remixed).
Combine the things as you like.
Make your gadget mobil using the additional extenderbox. Put the batteries in and have a walk through the park.
Take it with you.
.
The files:
Update:
added the ballhook- and latch- pics,
the latch can be mounted subsequently (beta) onto earlier printed lids without latch, requires a frame with the counterpart
added some ballhooks (one for screw, one for glue mount)
added a smal hook with mountplate, can be mounted subsequently
the hinged lid is now V3R3. See the gift box remix.

If you have not noticed yet please follow the linked "remixes" to see the other related things I'v made.
Have fun!
.
todo:
frames/top covers with flange/collar (resembling the small orange bricks from the childhood ?)
try to make them stackable w.o. screws where possible:
if it does not sacrify to much room and
if the fit is tight enough to hold the things together
marry the Arduino with the case, make connectivity ready.
