The Mod Knob is a knob about the diameter/circumference of a quarter (X/Y of 27.6mm via Cura) with a 6mm(ish) shaft hole? opening? Well regardless it also, as the name implies, has swappable and moddable faceplates!! WHOOOO FINALLY!!! (just me?)
Included in the files is the base, all 6 faceplates I've personally designed, plus the master file exported in both F3D and STEP containing all models for your modding pleasure! Within five minutes you can insert and SVG, extruded or detract and BOOM! your own personalized Mod Knob. Don't have an SVG? Trace a PNG! with the knob base and the F3D or STEP files you now have the most personalizable volume (or other) knob known to man... or I guess me... known to me!
Anywho Make a Faceplate, Throw it in the Remix's for all to use (please), And ENJOY!!!
No Supports on the Knob Base and Printed Pokeball (Bottom) side First
Yes Supports on the Faceplates and Printed Pegs Legs First.
Infill is whatever you want baby, have at it! or don't! You don't necessarily need infill, iz up to you!
ALWAYS CHECK FACEPLATE PREVIEW!!! you may need to rotate (I had to for the Apex Logo) or the top layer pattern may leave big'ol holes due to the small size.
Everything should be scaled perfectly and the tolerances on the faceplates are designed with a little wiggle (not wobble) room just in case. The shaft hole opening for putting the knob base on the potentiometer is PERFECT and JUST RIGHT!!!.... for my Ender 3 v2... Hopefully it's perfect for you and it should be but hey if not that's 3d printing for ya hahaha..... oh the pain we've all faced
