This is a Mobile Phone Dock with passive Boom Sound. I designed this dock around the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL mobile phones (with and without Incipio shockproof cases). However any mobile phone will fit by scaling the dock on the Z axis (when printed on its side).
IMPORTANT: In your slicer software use Z axis scaling (when printed on its side) and make sure Uniform Scaling is not selected. The aim is to stretch the part along its width and not increase the overall size.
UPDATE (09/Apr/2020): When scaling the main body (base) only scale along the width of the body when set on the side (with the one of the side threaded hole flat on the print bed). Do not use uniform scaling as that will make the threaded holes smaller/larger than what the side "pipes" require.
Use this simple formula to scale for your phone’s width: (P + 4) / 0.8 = Z axis scale %. P stands for the Phone width in millimeters (mm). For example for a phone with the width of 86 mm: (86 + 4) / 0.8 you will set the Z axis scale to 112.5 %
Note for Boom Sound
This is a passive sound amplification through the resonance chamber built into the dock and extended to the side screw-on pipes. This dock was designed for mobile phones with bottom firing speakers. You can experiment with 2 different length side screw-on pipes (2 included).
Add-on Extensions
You can create your own add-on extensions to the sides screw-on pipes.
UPDATES
23/07/17 - I included a side add-on extension (Horn_01.stl) and tested with significant improvement in reproducing a richer sound from the bottom firing speaker of the Google Pixel mobile.This worked particularly well with Smooth Jazz and Acoustic music.
