Mithraic relief, Rome (at Transtévère, between Porta Portese and San Pancrazio), 2nd - 3rd CE, marble.

The relief shows Mithras killing the bull. On both sides stand the two torchbearers (the Cautès and Cautopatès dadophores). The radiated bust of the sun and that of the moon are arranged respectively in the upper left and right angles. A crow is perched on the mantle of Mithras. We can distinguish the muzzle of a dog next to the dagger.
