These three towers connected by rising stair bridges are part of a larger exploration of this particular structural "language" . Building structural languages are part of my process when building virtual worlds, or any of my pieces that are works of architectural fiction. I call it a language because as I sculpt something, I try to make the work congruent within itself, as if it were made by a distinct culture or unique standard: stairs a certain height, doorways and windows with a matching shape, a set of coordinating embellishments, a standard of story height.... that sort of thing. This takes a lot of time working until something looks right. And then, creating the buildings themselves become easier to make and add onto once there's an idea of how the parts of it should look.
re: scale.
A 6 foot human, could be 3-4 mm in height. This model isn't meant to be in the same scale as the Wee Burgh buildings. It's smaller, which can be changed with a resize, but it's style and proportions also don't really match. So I'll leave that up to you whether you mix this in with any Wee Burgh displays you make.
