This is a remix of a remix. This is an alternative tail design for the Mini FPV Tricopter, remixed off of the Alternative Tail for Tricopter.
This design uses the BMS 22HV digital servo. It has all metal gears, high torque, is very fast and 8v capable.
Hardware needed:
1x 3mm dia x 35mm socket head cap screw
1x 3mm hex locknut (nylon insert)
2x 2mm x 10mm socket head cap screw
2x 2mm locknuts (or standard nuts with blue loctite).
1x BMS 22HV Servo with 2 gang servo arm (included with servo)
One fortunate result of using the BMS servo is the servo arm is held with a 3mm dia screw. So this design allows for the 3mm x 35 screw to pass through the assembly and locknut, and thread right into the servo drive, securing the servo rigidly with the rest of the assembly. This prevents the servo itself from changing plane relative to the rest of the drive, so the zip ties by themselves are extremely effective at keeping the servo immobile. No glue is needed. When printed well this assembly is extremely smooth working and has zero slop.
After printing clean up the holes with a 3mm and 2mm drill as appropriate.
