the fact that its that time of the month again and i am running out of plastic.
I liked a lot of the designs on this site that repurpose ATX power supplys, but what i don't like about most of them is they are plastic hungry. I am currently on my last roll waiting on a resupply from zyltech, and what i have i have to make last until the box gets here in the mail. so i challenged my self to come up with a rack mounted power supply for my up and coming micro control rack. This is the results.
I personally always have a couple dozen runs of 4' 3mm All-Thread, the stuff is great for all sorts of things, i have even made a drone frame from it.... if you have all Thread then you sont need very much plastic. the largest pieces on here are the front and rear plates, the piece that took the longest was the rear shelf, I love all the designs that incorporate banana plugs as well but banana plugs are expensive and i have to wait so instead i used a stair stepped Euro style bus terminal strip on the back. Assembly is fairly straight forward, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
oh and for 3 seconds i am so going to be conceited, i should totally win an award for the neatest ATX supply on the planet, i mean look at that wire management.. lmao
