Please note this is a prototype v2 superceding v0.
New interrations will be uploaded as newer versions.
v0 had little scope to mount a part fan and BLTouch so scraped that version.
v2 'Little Weener' designed with two 5015 blower fans, one heat sink cooler and the other being a part cooling fan with a removable cooling duct, plus a adjustable BLTouch bracket.
Also has cable tie holes to secure the cables.
As previously...
I designed this ported hotend duct for the Micro Swiss bracket on my Ender-5+ using a 5015 blower fans.
You must have already lowered the front cross member of the Ender-5+ for this to fit.
It also has an adjustable BLTouch mount if you are using that.
The design is to try and help prevent air spillage passing the Micro Swiss Full Metal hotend heat sink down onto the ABS printed part. v2 succeds very well in this.
Everything I have read and recommended to me about ABS is that it's best suited not to have part cooling to prevent warping so I left the fan out of this design.
I am currently testing the durability of PETG close to the heatsink and heated bed. My testing results is that it works fine however, I do recomments printing parts on PETg or better heat tolerable filament if the bed temp is to be 75°C+.
I'm quite happy with this version and am now investigation CNC'd parts.
Works for me (so far).
