Mechon DX22

My 3D Design is based on various designs of robotic creatures known as Mechon from the video game “Xenoblade Chronicles.” The redesign was mostly made in reference to the Mechon known as the “M63 Harvester Unit”. Some parts are an original addition, so there is some unique aspects to my redesign. The “Problem” this model improves upon is not exactly relevant to daily life, but rather an improvement of an existing model of Mechon that allows improvements in combat, movement, etc.

The DX22 features a drill that heats up and unleashes a powerful blast of fire ether when attacking, as well as a claw for powerful melee attacks. The feet are an original design, given a more shoe-like shape for better running and kicking power. The legs have also been thinned for the purpose of better agility. There are lights on the legs and on the sides of the head, used mostly for exploring caves or darker factory locations. The laser blaster arm was replaced with the drill, as it has both melee and ether potential. Lastly, the color scheme is entirely of my own design. The darker colors are meant to indicate a stronger, more effective design, hence why it’s called the DX22. (DX standing for Deluxe)

This version has more agility and adaptability at its disposal than the M63 does; the thinner limbs and multi-use tools give it an edge against other Mechon. In addition to the usual claw arm, the drill arm can be used to mine minerals and other useful materials. Having a light to help you see when mining is also an advantage when searching for places to mine. Due to this, the Mechon DX22 is superior in combat AND at gathering materials.
