This is based on Maze generator, pure OpenSCAD. You may use this as a base for creating a random maze pen holder (may be found in Random maze container generator):

You may change the following parameters to generate a maze cylinder, a different maze every time.
wall_height
wall_thickness
cylinder_radius
cylinder_height
vertical_blocks
horizontal_blocks
